LIFE is the EU’s financial instrument supporting environmental and nature conservation projects throughout the EU, as well as in some candidate, acceding and neighbouring countries. Since 1992, LIFE has co-financed some 3708 projects, contributing approximately €2.8 billion to the protection of the environment.
Since 1992 LIFE’s program has already co-financed 583 Italian projects (348 about environmental innovation, 226 about preservation and 9 about information and communication). These projects represent a total investment of € 817 million, of which € 348 million has been provided by the European Union.
LIFE takes part in Bio.Lea.R. (Biogas Leachate Recovery) Project with a financial contribution of 1.120.531,00 € for five years.
